WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY,
AND HOW DOES IT HELP PEOPLE?
Hypnotherapy is a therapy in a state of trance, a state of deep relaxation, when a person can "reach out"
to his subconscious. This is NOT a treatment, but an opportunity for normal healthy people
to get rid of interfering problems, attitudes, negative feelings and make positive changes in their lives.
Some people are afraid of the term of hypnosis, thinking that this is an effect on a person’s
consciousness against his will. Also, they can think that people during a hypnotherapy session are not
in control over their actions and words, completely disconnect from reality and do not remember what happened to them. For some people, hypnosis is associated with gypsies, who using their tricks,
leave a gullible victim without jewellery or money. For other people, it can be associated with
‘stage’ hypnosis. During such hypnosis, the hypnotist gives several hypnosis tests to people in
the audience and selects a few most hypnotic volunteers who begin to act irrationally and seem
to lose control of their actions at the command of the hypnotist.
Neither gypsy hypnosis nor ‘stage’ hypnosis has anything to do with hypnotherapy.
In fact, each person, at least twice a day, enters into a state of hypnosis or trance:
before falling asleep and for a short time immediately after waking up, day dreaming can also be seen
as such state. Trance is a natural state of consciousness that occurs in a person several times a day.
When we watch a movie that captures us, or read an interesting book, we are in a state of hypnosis.
Every time we plunge into deep reasoning and forget about the surrounding reality, we are in state of trace. Similarly, during a hypnosis session, a person is conscious, most of the external stimuli simply turn off,
which makes it possible to concentrate on one problem or task. When we are relaxed, our focus is shifted inward, we are deeply immersed in our inner world, but at the same time we are in control of ourselves and our actions. This condition is different from sleep, because person undergoing hypnotherapy is aware of their surroundings, location, speech and able to open eyes at any time with free will.
This is a pleasant state of deep relaxation for mind and body.
In this state, getting rid of destructive programs and attitudes, stresses, phobias, co-dependencies,
depressions and other troubles that prevent a person from living is faster and better.
Scientists have proven that the brainwaves exist and are observed operating at different frequencies of oscillations, in different rhythms: Gamma, Beta, Alpha and Theta. The more a person relaxes, the calmer
his brain works. Therefore, in a state of hypnosis, it is possible to discover a person’s potential,
reveal creative abilities, self-healing, get rid of psychological trauma, bad habits,
as well as work with psychosomatic diseases, phobias, fears, panic attacks, allergies, depression,
emotional addictions and other negative things, which interfere with life.
After treatment, as a rule, uncomfortable feelings cease to bother.
A person cannot simultaneously be in a relaxed state and work on some kind of problem.
Therefore, a person needs a specialist who will guide him in his process.
Hypnotherapy is an effective method to understand oneself,
to free oneself from the accumulated load of grievances, guilt, irritation, complexes, fears
and other psychological injuries, destructive programs and attitudes.
